SAP Specialist
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The SAP specialist’s main objective is to work with users to determine reporting requirements and create reports and queries in whatever system is most appropriate (Crystal Reports or B1 queries). They will also work with users to train them and answer questions as needed. Additionally, the SAP B1/Reporting specialist serves as the primary link between the business and any consultants that support the SAP system managing the assignments that are developed in house versus those that are outsourced.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
? Work independently to design and implement solutions of the highest quality which conform to all Phoenix International Publications, Inc. standards.
? IT Liaison to all areas in the company as the first line responder for all reporting and use needs in SAP B1.
? Troubleshoot and remediate defects within existing systems.
? Design and build new reports using Crystal Reports.
? Design and build new queries using the query building tools within SAP B1.
? Adhere to company documentation standards and procedures for all development activities.
? Provide ongoing support during daytime hours and off hours as necessary.
? Supports PIP clients and employees in the use of production software.
? Collaborate with third party resources and programmers to deliver integrated, complex solutions.
? Keep up-to-date with the latest technology and security issues, and other tasks as assigned.
? Provides user training as needed.
? As a member of the IT support team, assist other technical functions as needed (Infrastructure, PC Help Desk, etc.) as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
? Knowledge of SAP B1.
? Working knowledge of Windows based applications running on a windows environment
? Understanding Microsoft technology and other software knowledge a plus.
? Proficient knowledge of scripting languages, some programming background a plus.
? Must be committed to learning whatever is necessary to complete the tasks given.
? Strong analytical thinking and problem solving abilities
? Effective communications and interpersonal skills
