General Expectations include

• Understand Fitness for Use and ensure the correlations between product "Fitness for Use" requirements; and process measurements and set points
• Measure, understand and document our products and processes
• Identify and drive process improvements
• Implement current/new technology into operations and transfer knowledge to operations
• Drive design for manufacturability in the development of new products

Typical activities may include

• Develop, troubleshoot and refine manufacturing processes
• Prioritize, evaluate, chair proposed cross functional/regional improvement projects to processes and products based on analyses of regulatory requirements, product quality needs, ergonomics, safety, environmental and costs
• Design, execute, and analyze DOE experiments based on statistical techniques
• With design engineers, develop and commission new equipment
• Conduct effective meeting with local and global teams to discuss any process hot issues, experiment plan, project progress
• Perform gauge studies to understand the effectiveness of measurement technique
• Develop SPC run charts to understand and monitor process variation
• Plan and conduct product, process and/or equipment validations trial in accordance to validation practice
• Document work via reports, technology notebooks, quality system and design file entries
• Measure and communicate process capability in order to help guide business decisions

Requirements/Qualifications

• B.S. CHE, ME or Materials Science, or equivalent experience, textile dyeing or finishing is needed, Having at least 5+ years of process engineer related working experiences
• Solid knowledge of engineering fundamentals and ability to apply this knowledge to manufacturing and product design
• Ability to prioritize, initiate, and drive projects to completion with hands on experience
• Ability to work effectively in team situations as well as independently
• Hands on problem solving skills
• Proven written and oral communication skills in English
• Ability to network and interface effectively with a broad range of functional teams
• Working understanding of design of experiments(DOE), process mapping, SPC
• Willingness to travel periodically
• Strong teamwork player, initiative taker, easy going character, eager to learn something new
• Multinational company working experience is preferred
