Lumentum is seeking to hire a Helpdesk Support Specialist for our Shenzhen based team.
Job Description
The Helpdesk Support Specialist provide the first point of contact for Lumentum employees for technical problems and IT issues involving desktop, laptop or network services in a customer oriented, efficient, and technically effective manner by phone, IM, share desktop. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to independently prioritize and execute tasks in a fast pace environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Duties and Responsibilities
? Provide 1st level support to end-users by phone and email;
? Use Helpdesk Software to log descriptions of issues, progress and solutions;
? Ensure requests are routed to the appropriate IT group;
? Monitor the progress of requests and ensures that users and IT groups are kept informed;
? Remote analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of IT problems for end-users, along with recommending and implementation of corrective solutions;
? Educate and train users to help them avoid future problems;
? Light system administration tasks in Microsoft Active Directory, such as password reset;
? Assist with other duties as assigned.
Requirement
? Knowledge of PC and laptop hardware components (external and internal);
? Knowledge of Win7, Win8 and Win10;
? Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Java, and other software;
? Good knowledge of ITIL and familiar with Helpdesk Software;
? Basic understanding of IT network and server technologies;
? Experience using remote tools to support remote end users and systems;
? Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills;
? Quick learner, can understand and apply existing and new technologies;
? Strong customer service skills;
? Strong written and verbal communication in English
Experience
? At least 2 years of IT support experience in one or more of the following areas:
? Call center
? Service Desk
? Desktop Support
? Cross-region support experience in a team oriented, collaborative enterprise environment is preferred
