产品设计高级工程师/Sr. Product Design & Development (R&D) Engineer（美资消费电子公司）

Job Responsibilities:
1. Support the development of projects resulting in a new product / claim launch;
2. Maintenance & improvement of department infrastructure e.g. SOP development, implement improved ways of working;
3. Contribute to development of pipeline through activities such as brainstorming ideas, ideation sessions, new concept development;
4. Project management of small project or specific elements of larger projects;
5. Contribute to the continued development of the Air Care Business strategy in East Asia;
6. Work to build and maintain “leading edge” world class expertise within the technologies relevant to the Category;
7. Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with key contacts both inside and outside of the RB business: to ensure proper qualification of new products; to ensure fast resolution of new product manufacturing issues; 8. Assist in the development of experimental products;
9. Carry out laboratory scale preparation and routine testing of formulations and competitor products;
10. Organise and carry out storage & performance testing on experimental products
11. Design of various evaluation tests and techniques;
12. Prepare and carry out internal small scale panel tests on prototype products;
13. Develop understanding of the Global and Local Business strategies for the Air Care Category – including how consumer insights are central to them;
14. Ensure any technical aspects of the product development are carried out as per the agreed timings, with any issues or risks clearly highlighted to line manager in a timely manner;
15. Responsible for the compilation, approval, and circulation of all relevant technical throughout the product development process;
16. Participate in key strategic activities including product ideation, competitor benchmarking and consumer market research;
17. Maintain clean and safe working areas and ensure adequate stocks of chemicals, materials and equipment.;
18. Contribute towards continuous improvement of R&D procedures and best practices;
19. Liaise with key suppliers, development partners, and technology providers throughout the project to drive forward product development activities;
20. Attend manufacturing trials;
21. May be required to assist in the development and training of a trainee;
22. Given the level of this role it is anticipated most aspects of the role will be carried out with limited support from the R&D Associate.

Job Requirements:
1. A good graduate degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent is expected;
2. Product development experience within an FMCG environment is expected;
3. English speaking and literate;
4. Mandarin and/or Cantonese speaking is an advantage;
5. Experience of production scale-up processes is an advantage;
6. Experience of aerosol technology and/or manufacture is an advantage;
7. Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with solid organisational capabilities, a bias for action;
8. Good communication skills;
9. Good analytical and problem solving skills;
10. Strong intellectual curiosity with an appetite for exploring new challenges;
11. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
12. Potential to progress within the organisation.
