Shipping Clerk China
Zenith Products Corporation is recruiting for a Shipping Clerk for our China office.Zenith is a well-established, medium-sized company located in New Castle, Delaware in the United States. Our company manufactures consumer products found in most major retail stores such as shower curtain rods, liners and rings, as well as mirrored medicine cabinets, shower caddies, and wood, wire, and plastic shelving and storage cabinets.
The Shipping Clerk’s role is to be the corporate expert on international shipping. This individual needs to understand all documentation requirements and the overall process for shipping product abroad. There will also be direct customer involvement when documentation needs to be provided for direct import (DI) or port of entry (POE) type shipments. This individual will also need to learn the specific requirements of each of our customers and ensure that we meet the expectations. This position reports to the Vendor Management Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
? Must understand the requirements for all international shipping documents such as Commercial Invoice, Bill of Lading, Forwarder’s Cargo Receipt, etc.
? Track purchase orders to ensure that they ship on time and correctly
? Work with freight forwarders as necessary to ensure bookings are made and all other needs are met to have product ship as requested
? Ensure that all documents for DI or POE shipments are prepared in a timely manner and are accurate
? Complete any customer specific requirements for all shipments and provide information directly to customer or input into their system as prescribed
? Keep all information organized and report as required on shipment activity by customer and vendor
Minimum Qualifications:
? BS/BA in Engineering or Business
? 2 years of experience in related field
? Highly proficient in MS Office (Advanced in Excel)
? Strong English Skills in Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening
? Exceptional communication skills
Additional Desired Experience and Abilities:
? Ability to multi-task to manage many shipments simultaneously
? Capableof working in a fast-paced environment
? Strong written and verbal communication
? High attention to detail and thoroughness
? Willing to work flexible hours to meet deadlines
? Superb organizational skills
