职位描述：
Dr Sujong Jeong is a climate scientist who is interested in investigating the mechanisms in climate change and the human-mediated disturbance of the global environment. He received PhD degree in Earth and environmental sciences (Atmospheric science major) from Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea.

Before he joined SUSTech, he was a postdoctoral researcher of Princeton University for the period 2010-2013 and of NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory at California Institute of Technology for the period 2013-2016. During his postdoc period, he developed ecosystem parameterization for the Earth System Model. He also developed new method to quantify the human impact on environmental change by combining satellite remote sensing data with climate model.

At SUSTech, his research focuses on understanding the role of ecosystem change in carbon cycle and the impact of human activity (agriculture, urbanization, and energy use) on water and energy cycle. His research mostly utilizes state of art numerical models (e.g., Ecosystem model, Land Surface Model, Climate Model, and Earth System Model) and observations (e.g., in situ and satellite remote sensing).
