PECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

· To maintain and improve Product quality in line with company targets
· To reduce In-house, subcontract manufacturing and/or supplier defects/failures and drive corrective actions
· Deploy effective controls over manufacturing processes, including SPC, defect analysis, DPH targets, etc.
· Ensure that CTQ measurements are consistently understood, monitored and maintained.
· Reduce Warranty returns and Field failures through improving product robustness
· Reduce the escape rate through improved component and product test methods and processes
· Analyse problems, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions
· Drive effective corrective actions based on solid facts and data analysis
· Provide support to achieve and maintain third party product and site approvals
· Agree and implement continuous improvement projects with suppliers , set targets and roadmaps
· Support Quality Initiatives at Tier 2 suppliers

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Please specify the minimum requirements for this job, apart from competencies
· Degree qualified in Engineering ( Mechanical, Electrical or process Technology) or relevant Technical qualification
· Minimum of 5 years experience in the manufacturing and/or quality management of plastic components and/or high-precision metal parts
· Knowledge of WW Quality systems and standards used in electronics manufacturing. Experienced in product and process auditing
· 8 years min within a Technology driven Organisation
· 5 years experience in quality /supplier management, with demonstrated ability to implement Quality and process improvements
· Strong analytical, problem solving background
· Willing to travel outside to Suppliers and other Emerson sites worldwide
