Description:

This is a corporate position in the Asia Pacific region, requiring Security and Risk function operations for Associates, property and assets of W.L. Gore. The primary responsibility is to manage multiple, parallel Security programs and projects using formal project planning techniques. Maintaining relationships with corporate and plant leadership to continually assess Security needs and ensure expectations are being met. Understanding the Security awareness and training needs of the AP regional Associate population and creating programs that meet or exceed those needs. Establishing Security education and awareness communication schedules with specific groups, including, Associates, Receptionists, Office Support, Sales and Manufacturing Leadership. Presentations to include a variety of intellectual property and Security related topics touching the functional areas of the enterprise.

Responsibilities

1. Broad content and functional knowledge and advisor to Asia Pacific Regional business leadership on principles and practices for Security projects and programs

2. Demonstrate understanding of strategy for the functional areas of Security Operations, Security Systems and Investigations

3. Share common tools and functional best practices to refine, manage and implement effective Security programs, awareness and training material for AP regional Associate population

4. Create, refine, manage and implement functional measurements & metrics to assure proper resource and program alignment for the AP region

5. Define, receive feedback, and implement program and project success metrics that demonstrates how the end product can be valued by the enterprise. Establish communication channels to share program metrics, receive feedback, and prioritize future commitments

6. Implement Security projects encompassing associate Security, physical asset Security & intellectual property protection & awareness

7.Coordinate regular Security meetings with all Security involved Associates within the AP region and successfully gain Associate support of initiatives through positive influencing of behaviors and attitudes

8.Engage and influence internal Global Security Team members on program selection, prioritization and resource planning; collaborate on various Global Security Team projects and initiatives

Requirements

1. Proven ability to operate as a member of a virtual team where direct day-to-day supervision is not required

2. Ability to operate in ambiguous environment, using persuasion, expertise, and judgment to add value and affect change

3. Minimum of 4 year's corporate Security experience, with broad functional knowledge of all areas of corporate Security,

and emergency operations practices; experience in large corporate, technology and manufacturing environment a plus

4. Access System management experience, with functional knowledge of all areas of corporate Security, safety, emergency

operations practices

5. Effective consulting and presentation skills with a proven ability to develop relationships with key leadership and other

internal teams

6. Proven project management experience with the ability to leverage individual talents for success

7. Proven ability to describe metrics and present measurements of success to a large audience

8. Highly sensitive position requiring the utmost in confidentiality and sensitivity

9. Regional International position requiring travel, cultural sensitivity, 24 hour accessibility, and leveraging of resources
