requirements:

College/University Engineering degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.

Strong background in metal component processing/machining/epoxy coating (preferably powder metal components).

Experience in operating multiple production departments using a work force of 250 people.

Ability to steam-line production processes and eliminate waste.

Read and write English (essential), Microsoft computer skills, communication, effective time management, data analyst capacity, problem solving, learning skill, project management, strong decision making skills.

Minimum 10 years working in powder metal or other metal working industries.

Minimum 7 years experience working in a production management position in charge of multiple departments

Team player, intelligent, goal oriented, quality oriented, determined, and energetic.

Duties:

1)Responsible for meeting monthly sales goals

2)Effective production planning in order to optimize the use of all production equipment delivering 100% on-time delivery.

3) Be directly involved with material planning and equipment / manpower utilization.

4) Guide and coordinate the various production departments to execute the production plan.

5) Be directly involved with day to day problems relating to production processes and equipment.

6) Build a strong team of supervisors and lead-people that can be relied upon to efficiently produce a quality product.

7) Use weekly quality reports to reduce scrap and improve first time yields.

8) Use daily and weekly production reports to monitor output and identify process bottle necks.

9) Implement best practice manufacturing methods and processes, focussing on 5S, Lean Manufacturing.

10) Continuously look for cost reduction opportunities and guide projects to implement these cost reductions.

11) Promote 5S throughout all production departments and areas.

12) Work with process engineering on lean manufacturing opportunities, Kaizan events and Poka Yoke systems.

13) Support and contribute to ISO:9001 and ISO14001 systems.

14) Support the quality department dealing with customer complaints and external/internal corrective actions.
