Engineering Supervisor
Zenith Products Corporation is recruiting an EngineeringSupervisor for our office in China. Zenith is a well-established, medium-sized company located in New Castle, Delaware in the United States. Zenith manufactures consumer products sold in most major US retail stores in categories including shower curtain rods, liners and rings, mirrored medicine cabinets, shower caddies, as well as wood, wire, and plastic shelving and storage cabinets.
The role of the Engineering Supervisoris to provide leadership and support for our Manufacturing, Lean, and Packaging engineering efforts designed to improve Zenith’s quality and costs through better efficiencies, processes, faster product development cycles, and so on. This individual will work with our internal staff as well as directly with our vendors to provide engineering expertise for both new and existing products and processes. This position reports directly to China Office Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
? 8+ years of engineering experience
? Engineering degree in related field
? Strong 2D computer skills (AutoCAD) and Engineering Control Drawing experience
? Solid Works 3-D Modeling preferred
? In depthknowledgeand experience with manufacturing techniques, materials, and processes
? Ability to travel to vendor locations in China
? Flexible hours to work with US office as required and to meet deadlines
? Demonstrated ability to lead projects and provide direction to others
? Provide technical support to staff as required
? Maintains Standard Operating Procedures for the department
? Excellent communication and time management skills
? Exceptional analytical skills
? Continually develop and improve the abilities of engineering staff
Preferred Experience:
? Ready to Assemble (RTA) furniture for mass retail
? Wire and metal tubular products and processes
? Plastic materials and processes
? Wood materials and construction
? Products for mass retail
Additional Desired Experience and Abilities:
? Ability to multi-task across multiple engineering disciplines
? Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
? Proven leadership skills
? Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
? Extensive knowledge of Metal forming and stamping, plastic injection molding, zinc casting, painting, and plating processes
? Project management experience
? Six Sigma training or experience as well as other certifications
