Cost Analyst China
Zenith Products Corporation is recruiting for a Cost Analyst. Zenith is a well-established, medium-sized company located in New Castle, Delaware in the United States. Our company manufactures consumer products found in most major retail stores such as shower curtain rods, liners and rings, as well as mirrored medicine cabinets, shower caddies, and wood, wire, and plastic shelving and storage cabinets.
The Cost Analyst’s role is to support the New Products team analyzing the validity of costs provided by our vendors for any new Request for Quote (RFQ). This person will be responsible for communications and reporting as required back to the US office for entry into our database.This position reports to the New Products Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
? Organize and compare costs provided by our vendors on all new RFQ’s
? Gain a clear understanding of our cost system and what each cost means and how it is calculated
? Calculate all appropriate costs as required for new projects such as landed costs, direct import costs, etc.
? Understand applicable duties and HTS codes based on the type of product, origin, and destination
? Analyze information returned from vendors to make sure it is reasonable compared to other similar current products if appropriate
? Report key dates and other information back to US office as required
? Keep RFQ information well-organized and track the status of all requests
Minimum Qualifications:
? BS/BA in Engineering or Business
? Minimum of 2 years of experience in sourcing or related field
? Highly proficient in MS Office (Advanced in Excel)
? English Skills in Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening.
Additional Desired Experience and Abilities:
? Good analytical ability
? Ability to multi-task since many projects will be going on simultaneously
? Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
? Strong written and verbal communication
? High attention to detail
? Willing to work flexible hours to meet deadlines
? Experience with housewares products is preferred
