Fabrics Division of W.L. Gore & Associate (Shenzhen) is looking for a proven project engineer to join our Research & Development team based at Shenzhen.

Candidates should demonstrate they have a history of driving complex projects to commercialise new products or deliver new technical capabilities. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate they can identify the largest uncertainties and create a detailed plan to resolve them. The ability and willingness to do hands-on work, such as prototyping, designing & executing experimental plans, analyzing results & troubleshooting are also critical in the role.

The role also requires strong communication skills. The projects are generally intended for Asia Pacific or Global markets, and so applicants must be able to work in international project teams comprising of Gore's associates (mainly) and external stakeholders.

Finally, this role is closely connected with Gore's great quality products and also the outdoor sport world. Must have:

• Degree (advanced preferred) or equivalent (5 or more years work experience) ideally in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated strengths in project management (leading or participating in project teams) with track record of successful product or technology development.
• 3+ years' working experience in a technical function in a multinational company.
• An enthusiastic team player with strong coordinating & communication skills (Including oral and written in Chinese and English and a proactive communication style)
• A self-motivated, creative thinker with excellent technical and problem solving skills
• Data driven and a mindset to drive to a fundamental understanding
• Flexible to travel 15-20% of time

Nice to have:

• Be familiar with the statistical methods and associated tools
• International working experience.
• Ideal candidate should be from outdoor related industry and be an outdoor enthusiast
