Solid Works Operator
Zenith Products Corporation is recruiting for a Solid Works Operator. Zenith is a well-established, medium-sized company located in New Castle, Delaware in the United States. Our company manufactures consumer products found in most major retail stores such as shower curtain rods, liners and rings, as well as mirrored medicine cabinets, shower caddies, and wood, wire, and plastic shelving and storage cabinets.
The role of the Solid Works Operator is to assist our Research and Development department as required through the creation, review,and manipulation of Solid Works files that support our new product development efforts. This individual must be very knowledgeable with the Solid Works software and therefore capable of carrying out requests with little assistance. This person must be able to receive direction and execute tasks promptly and accurately. This position reports to the R&D Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
? 2+ years of relevant experience
? Degree in Industrial Design/Product Design, or applicable work experience.
? Professional sketching, visualization, and rendering skills
? Engineering Control Drawing experience
? Solid Works 3-D Modeling experience is a pre-requisite
? Good understanding of manufacturing techniques, materials and processes in order to make designs that are executable
? Proficiency with Microsoft Office Photoshop or Freehand is beneficial
? Ability to articulate design theories, processes, and methods
? Assist Senior and Junior Designers as required
? Examine drawings for errors and make sure all information is accurate
? Must complete requests on time
? Good communications skills are required
Preferred Experience:
? Ready to Assemble (RTA) furniture for mass retail
? Wire and metal tubular products
? Plastic and Rubber materials
? Designing for mass retail
Additional Desired Experience and Abilities:
? Ability to multi-task as many projects will often be running simultaneously
? Strong written and verbal communication skills
? Model Making or Prototype fabrication
? Refined sense of style and form
? Mechanical aptitude
? Photoshop or Freehand proficiency
? Flexible schedule to work with US office if required
