Job Description for Strategic Planner (Starnet)

Starnet Group is a privately owned integrated agency that specializes in the alcohol and gaming industry since 1996.Starnet Digital is the division within the Starnet Group. Starnet Group is headquartered in Shanghai, with offices in Shenzhen, Wuhan, Beijing, and Wuxi. Starnet Digital is a full fledge digital division with Account Service, Creative, and Social Media.

Our Shanghai office is looking for an EXPERIENCED Account Planner that will set the communication strategy for brand campaigns through an agency defined process. You must be energetic, inspiring and bursting with ideas to work with the team.You are personally interested in online and mobile gaming, and is familiar with the current gaming landscape.

You will work closely with the account servicing and creative team to establish the goals and objectives, target audience, message and strategic direction in which the campaign should be delivered.

You will define how a particular strategy can help our client to add value to their business, and inspire creative teams to create unique brand campaigns. In order to achieve this, you will perform and utilize research, trends and data on markets, consumer insights, as well as working closely with our clients to develop communication strategies.


The account planner duties will include:
Working with the client to establish their aims and objectives
Analyzing existing data, market reports and trends
Developing, managing and analyzing research projects
Organizing and attending focus groups to do qualitative research (When necessary)
Developing a brand platform, campaign strategy, tactical strategy
Working with colleagues to develop ideas for a campaign
Briefing the creative team, allowing them to create an effective and well-targeted proposition for the client
Working with account team to present ideas and conclusions to the client
Monitoring the success of the campaign as it runs, suggesting changes and improvements where necessary and analyzing the results.
