Starting from the market trend and the internal requirements the category manager is responsible for defining and implementing the category strategy in order to achieve the best trade off between total landed cost, quality and flexibility also taking in account the technology evolution and risk management. The main responsibilities are:
Manage the supplier base for the entire suppliers life cycle building up the right level of relationship/partnership and negotiating all business terms.
Define category guide line and strategy for the new product development.
Manage the ECO introduction and the ERP master data related to the category.
Define and implement the proper supply chain risk management strategy.
Support execution escalations on mid high level issues ( shortages, push out, quality issues etc)
The Electronic Category manager need to bring from his professional experience the right contacts and knowledge of the Chinese electronic market in order to build a structured supply chain network to fully exploit the opportunities of this market.
Develop a supply chain network in China establishing direct contact with manufacturer and distributor having a key role in the Chinese market.
Access information and technology trend in the major market of the electronics category.
Provide the required critical mass to the SZ category team accelerating the virtual cycle between RD, Sourcing RD and Category team since we will have a small RD team in Asia.
requirements:
10 years experiences,7 years Sourcing Experience in sourcing electronics components from major Distributors and Manufacturer in China
Working on Tier 1 Contract Manufacturer as Electronic Category Manager
Experience on sourcing electronics not only in China but in all Asia or Worldwide
