Major Responsibilities :
· Assist Co-head of Wholesale Credit Risk to recommend/approve credit applications/reviews and manage the loan portfolio of BBD / CMB;
· Evaluate credit applications/reviews complied with credit principles and the group’s credit guidelines in a consistent manner;
· Take sufficient due diligence in reviewing all basic elements of credit proposals to make neutral and objective credit judgment, and recommend/approve appropriate credit decisions;
· Review and comment on management information reports submitted by BBD / CMB to assist Co-head of Wholesale Credit Risk to monitor the overall credit quality in BBD / CMB;
· Promote strong asset quality in BBD / CMB by maintaining credit policies/lending guideline and by coordinating with the Group and Business Unit (“BU”) on all credit policies matters.
· Assist Co-head of Wholesale Credit Risk to build the credit polices/framework from the strategic aspect; participate in developing/reviewing credit policies, procedures, lending guidelines and systems;
· Provide advice and support to BU in respect of Bank’s credit policies;
· Cooperate with other sections under Wholesale Credit Risk to improve credit policies, strengthen risk identification and control, and enhance information systems;
· Carry out specific administrative functions within Wholesale Credit Risk so as to streamline the work and ensure the best practices;
- Accomplish ad hoc assignment assigned by management from time to time

Incumbent Requirements :

· University Graduate in Business/Finance/Accounting
· Over ten years experience in credit risk management and credit control functions in Banking Industry
· Sound knowledge on economic environment, market conditions, business culture, internal/external policies and banking products; as well as local legal and regulatory requirements including PBOC, CBRC, SAFE and Basel II.
· Strong business sense & judgment in credit risk management to avoid taking in assets which subsequently turn into problem accounts as well as missing potential lucrative business opportunities;
· Ability to maintain a consistently prudent credit culture and oversee the Bank’s credit quality across the corporate loan book for managing both non-systematic and systematic risks.
· Proficiency in both English and Chinese
