Main Missions:
? As Application Engineer you support our M2M customer integrating our wireless modules in China.
? You also support and coordinate the approval of customer devices according to regional specifications.
? To achieve this goal you are a member in project teams and additionally managing your own projects.
? You are responsible for the duly fulfilment of all agreed activities with the quality at the calculated costs according to the agreement.
? As the technical expert you are expected to autonomously solve customer problems and verify the solutions by applying appropriate measures and tests.
? If necessary, international customers have to be supported on site in order to secure the success of their projects.
? The technical topics will be amongst others:
-AT-Interface
-TCP/ IP
-Java
-Hardware related programming
-Embedded operating systems
-GSM/W-CDMA/CDMA approval testing
? By applying this knowledge you enable our customers to correctly drive and integrate our products.
? During your customer visits you will cover additional technical topics such as Baseband Hardware and RF with the support of the according subject matter experts.
Main responsibilities:
? Enable customers to develop new wireless applications/ products
? Managing support projects for Gemalto M2M key customers
? Processing of appropriate support packages for dedicated customers
? Collect market/customer feedback and deliver this into the product definition
? Close cooperation with Gemalto M2M R&D during the development of our modules
? Trouble shooting (including log analysis, tracing, on-site testing) to identify the root cause of problems found in the field
? Processing customer failure reports, identify solutions or workarounds and, if needed, internal defect escalation
? Coordinate technical communication between the HQ and operator/customer/distributor
? Technical presentations and pre-sales support at the customer
? Technical training of distributors and customers
Profile:
? Knowledge about 3GPP protocols and 2G/3G wireless network topology
? Knowledge of SW platforms for mobile devices and security
? Knowledge of current M2M related standardization as well as wireless communication market trends (3GPP, LTE, Android…)
? Experience in SW/HW testing and technical understanding of communication modules
? Building and maintaining customer relationship and lead of customer projects
? Experience in debugging of real-time embedded solutions with lab test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyser, network server)
? 3 years of experience in wireless communication, preferable M2M
