The Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) was founded by the HKSAR Government in 2000 with a mission of enhancing Hong Kong’s competitiveness in technology based industries through applied research. Owing to the continuous expansion in our R&D activities, we are seeking qualified professionals to fill the position(s):

Job Duty:

High effect algorithm optimization, design and implementation for video/image enhancement, segmentation, tracking, classification, searching and analysis under embedded software system in mobile GPU, Android framework and OS levels.

Requirement:

• Bachelor degree or above in Electronics/Computer Engineering. Bachelor degree with 6+ years’ relevant experience in software development; Master degree with 3+ years’ experience; less experience for PhD holder. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Engineer.


• Solid experience in video/image processing.


• Solid experience in multimedia software development, better if with GPU programming/optimization experience.


• Solid experience in embedded system software development, better if with experience in Android or iOS system development.


• Fluent in English and Chinese.

Appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and performance-linked variable pay. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical and dental benefits, insurance coverage and contribution to MPF. The incumbent will normally work under a five-day week schedule.
