The Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) was founded by the HKSAR Government in 2000 with a mission of enhancing Hong Kong’s competitiveness in technology based industries through applied research. Owing to the continuous expansion in our R&D activities, we are seeking qualified professionals to fill the following position(s):

Job Duty:

• Support the development of the new materials for electrochemical deposition for semiconductor & microelectronics industries;


• Perform the electrochemical or chemical analysis for the concentration determination of organic additives in the electroplating solution


• Carry out characterization experiments of electroplating materials and electrochemical deposition experiments of 3D packaging products


• Perform data analysis on instrumental results, such as CVS, HPLC, etc.

Requirement:

• Master or above in the chemical engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, or related disciplines


• 3+ years relevant experiences for Master Degree and less experience for PhD


• Experience in the electroplating process, electronics packaging and materials characterization will be a plus


• Good written and communication skills in English and Chinese; Strong team spirit and interpersonal skills; Independent, responsible, aggressive and outgoing character

Appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and performance-linked variable pay. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical and dental benefits, insurance coverage and contribution to MPF. The incumbent will normally work under a five-day week schedule.
