Operations Director LINAK China

We are searching for a new Operations Director for LINAK China in Shenzhen. The position includes delivery responsibility for production, logistics, quality, purchasing, customer service and the matrix responsibility for a small R&D unit located in our facilities in Shenzhen. We are experiencing a rapid growth, and that means that our new Operations Director needs to ensure our current foundation and at the same time build a successful ramp up, so we can serve our customers in the same high standard they are used to. For the right candidate this is an opportunity to be part of a successful company and hold very broad responsibility that will offer a diverse workday and valuable experience. As Operations Director you will report to the COO at LINAK Headquarters and be part of the daily management in LINAK China together with the Managing Director in LINAK China. The annual turnover in LINAK China is currently app. 200 million Dkk. We are in LINAK China a total of app. 170 employees, hereof 35 in sales and administration. You will have direct report from 8 employees. You will also be part of the manufacturing management for the LINAK Group and serve as representative in many situations with local suppliers or customers.
You will be:
？ responsible for the daily manufacturing and R&D activities in LINAK China - The manufacturing activities cover Production, Quality, Logistics, Purchasing and Customer Service - Goals within Quality, Delivery service, LEAN, Productivity, Cost reductions and employee motivation - A total of app. 100 factory workers - The R&D activities are a part of the global R&D group - A total of 14 R&D employees in matrix with HQ R&D Directors
？ LINAK headquarters representative in some situations - Visit suppliers to assist in problem solving - Visit customers to increase value add and convey customer service needs into LINAK - Represent LINAK in different networks and official conferences
？ part of the management team in LINAK China - Together with the Managing Director (also commercial responsible) form the daily management of our factory in China - Partly responsible for the collective business results and employee motivation in LINAK China - Participate in Board Meetings in LINAK headquarters
You
？ are probably a production engineer with a supplementary commercial education or similar
？ have significant experience from a B2B manufacturing environment and preferably production management experience
？ are experienced in working with LEAN and Six Sigma tools
？ have a strong sense of business and can handle demands from customers and suppliers
？ are a skilled communicator and are able to handle culturally diverse communication situations
？ are able to help people grow and are naturally respected by your colleagues and costumers
？ work with a systematic approach and are able to handle a high degree of complexity speak, read and write English at a professional level
