BV China - Transmission & Distribution (T&D) BD Manager

Location:

l Preferred in Shanghai, but can also consider in Beijing

l Frequent travel within China mainland needed

Reporting line:

l Direct report: BV China Power Department Head

Responsibilities:

Contribution to Organic Growth:

1. Responsible to define BV China I&F strategic plan in T&D industry in order to set up a sustainable business growth platform

2. Elaborate marketing & sales plan for T&D sector aiming at development of BV business and rapid growth, and this should adapt to each sub sector, including power grid new build, power grid in service, QA/QC for T&D equipment, smart power grid, etc.

3. Develop detailed Action Plan for Key Accounts management, Key Accounts to be identified, but should include firstly the 2 domestic T&D Operators (State Grid and South Grid), key T&D equipment manufacturers and big power groups.

4. Put in place and keep high efficiency of a market information and industry intelligence system

5. Develop technical and commercial proposal to replying to call for tender, with support of Power technical team

6. Coordinate with business line of BV HO in Paris and other key countries such as France, U.S.A, Japan, South Africa, etc. to follow key multinational accounts or projects, especially those China export projects.

Contribution to External Growth:

1. Maintain communication with existing targets

2. Identify other potential targets in the fields of inspection, certification, supervision, safety analysis, etc.

3. Support SBD manager and M&A manager to M&A projects during communication, negotiation phase.

1. Key opportunity identified

Requirements:

1. High technical education with T&D related background, Bachelor degree is a minimum.

2. Dual education for technical and commercial or management is better.

3. About 5 years experiences in T&D related Industry.

4. Sound knowledge about the value chain of T&D industry, from design institute, to EPC, to manufacturing, to construction & installation, to commissioning, to in service maintenance.

5. Good knowledge about issues in the fields of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment for T&D sector.

6. Good professional background and capability to dialogue with client top management and project manager

7. Familiar with power grid construction project execution and operation of an existing power grid.

8. Good skill in communication, negotiation

9. Proficient in office software (Lotus Note, MS office, PowerPoint, MS project management)

10. Fluent Chinese and English, French as a plus

11. Sales-oriented and self-motivated

12. Good sense in business development
