Responsibilities:

• Identify and research world-class equipment manufacturers and suppliers for a wide range of manufacturing processes & collaborate with the product development team on equipment selection, tool design and manufacturing feasibility
• Take part in the design, development and qualification of assembly tools, jigs and fixtures, SMT or PCBA process including rework.
• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for process improvement through the use of SMT /PCBA technology.
• Implement continuous process improvement measures from initial product design through to production ramp for new development projects.
• Collaborate with our supply chain partners on maintaining appropriate controls on the processing parameters and define suitable tooling/equipment preventative maintenance plans/schedules.
• Familiar with SMT machine from print machine/ pick & place /reflow oven /BGA rework machine, to AOI, de-panel machine
• Familiar with SMT/wave solder/ selective wave / issue analysis and technology,
• Provide technology support on soldering /materials storage
• SMT stencil aperture design and technology, ( laser cut/ step up electroforming /Nano)
• SMT & wave reflow profile set up and optimizing / X-ray analysis with solder joint.
• Stencil modification and failure analysis
• Familiar SMT BGA, CSP,LGA, process and fail analysis
• Familiar SMT component package and MSD level
• Familiar PCBA process with no clean/ clean from solder paste to wave / BGA rework
• Familiar with solder paste and Flux/ solder wire/ solder bar
• Familiar SMT POP process and including rework process.
• Familiar soldering tool including solder iron, heat gun.
• Familiar with cross section / Dye & Pry analysis/ soldering reliability analysis
• Familiar CAM350 / valor or other software with DFM /DFA analysis
• Familiar PCB panel design
• Wave soldering of fill up with solder and improvement
• BGA under-full process
• Familiar FPC process from solder paste print to assembly (including de-panel)
• Familiar Mini-table for DOE analysis
• Draft SOP, process flow chart and engineering document
• SMT Paste in hole process and rework

Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering or similar
• 5+ years experience in a Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering or Process Engineering role.
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, production equipment, tooling & manufacturing jigs and fixture design
• Demonstrated experience of SPC, NPI, DOE and process optimization
• Proven track record in process design and process implementation for products with challenging tolerance and cosmetic requirements
• Demonstrated DFM experience and proven track record of innovative processing solutions for high volume consumer electronic or soft goods products
• Proficient in 3D CAD packages such as Solidworks.
• Familiar with industry leading test and inspection equipment
