Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of dealer performance under assigned geographical areas. The ultimate measure is:
A: Sales performance in vehicles and parts and service
B: Profitability
C: Compliance with BMW/JV operating standards in Sales, Parts, Service, Marketing, CI & Facilities, Training, Personnel and Dealer Systems
- As such, the Area Manager has a basic responsibility to ensure that dealers achieve the set objectives and standards;
-The Area Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of the Manager - Special Vehicles and cares for and advises dealers in all matters related to passenger car sales including implementation of dealer marketing activities;
- Advises the dealers in managerial and corporate matters and is responsible for the overall Dealer Development tasks;
- Co-ordinates the use of all specialists from BMW/JV and/or from the central technical After Sales divisions and is responsible for planning, achievement and supervision of measures to secure market.
Qualifications:
- Economic sciences or legal studies with economic sciences as subsidiary subject (tertiary level);
- Extensive knowledge of market and service structure in the Chinese vehicle environment;
- Experienced in motor vehicle dealer retail operations;
- Fluent in English both oral & written;
- Understanding of BMW corporate philosophy and image;
- Strong negotiating skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Analytical skills;
- Ability to plan strategically.
