Main Responsibilities:

? Drives implementation of company programs, business requirements, policies and best practices to vendor partners
? Manages training and development of vendors/suppliers
? Drives the analysis, reconciliation and communication of variances from seasonal allocation to vendor capacities and final purchase orders…
o Add – as communicated from HQ
? Negotiates consistent production lead-time standards with factories
? Manage PO confirmation & reconciliation after initial PO issue from HQ to include surcharges and minimum issues
? Manages production for multiple product categories and vendors; proactively identify and resolve issues that could drive potential delivery delays; reviews vendor delivery performance and implements corrective action plans as required
? Manage “Work-In-Process and weekly reporting to Headquarter Sourcing. Assure confirmation of WIP details through on site verification at factories
? Drive expedited Headquarters shipping strategies with International Logistics to assure on-time delivery as needed
? Manage and communicate vendor on-time-shipping performance and drive action plans to optimize results
? Manage vendor performance through use of vendor scorecard and key performance indicators
? Collaborate with the Quality Assurance function to ensure all vendors meet our quality requirements and support timely resolution of quality issues
? Contributes to development, implementation and management of multi-year sourcing strategy, mitigates risk while delivering world class product quality and service levels
? Provide benchmark information of industry best practices and global trends for currencies, commodities, labor rates, etc.
? Supports the selection of new vendors and associated onboarding functions as assigned
? Manages sample process. I.e. capacity planning, sample accuracy issues and on-time performance
? Assure vendors support direction and requirements of Fair Labor, Legal, and Trade Compliance teams
? Identifies opportunities for process improvement and drives change
? Drives recruiting and hiring of top talent and manages training of direct reports

Requirements:
? 4+ years College or University degree
? 5-7 years progressive work experience planning/production/sourcing gear and/or apparel for USA, European or Japanese brands.
? 3+ years of people management experience
? PRC national and passport holder or Hong Kong citizen and passport holder
? Ability to hire, coach, manage and develop a team
? Advanced MS Office skills and expertise of internal systems. I.e. SAP, Enovia
? Advanced communication skills
? Strong negotiating and influencing skills
? Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
? Strong knowledge of materials, construction and general quality standards and requirements used in product development, production and assembly.
? Strong analytical, trouble shooting and interpersonal skills.
? Strong written and verbal reporting skills
? Process driven individual; exceptional knowledge and experience with creating and implementing processes to support gear and apparel production
? Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
? Ability to collect, summarize, analyse and report data
? Ability to perform the requirements of the job with little or no supervision
? Ability to organize and lead others to accomplish group goals
? Ability to work effectively in foreign countries with diverse cultures
? Ability to travel throughout China, Vietnam, Taiwan, USA and internationally
? Ability to travel independently and for extended periods
? Ability to use sound judgment to make independent decisions
