Essential Responsibilities:

· Conduct structural design for assigned brand packaging, including design drawing and in house sample production. Performs board combination analysis and paper material analysis. Work on summary of structure.

· Conduct compression analysis for box performance evaluations

· Aid in the coordination of ordering, scheduling, and inspection of all samples required from both internal resources and out sourced service providers.

· Coordinate the production of (in house) samples, mockups, etc.

· Create and post specifications to web based technical communication tools for implementation.

· Create manufacturing specifications that are clear, efficient, and ready to be manufactured.

· Create duplicate designs for additional sizes or family of designed product.

· Conduct on site fit testing for on-going projects.

· Assist all other members of the technical team as needed.

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

· Be familiar with the Offset, Flexo, Gravure print processes

· Be familiar with understanding packaging print and design, including folding cartons, labels, etc.

· Review, approves fine details samples.

· Communicate and follow up with business partners on sample approvals

· Conduct and follow up graphics art finishing testing.

· Update approval status and maintains log sheet.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

· Four year degree with major in Packaging Engineering with a special interest in fiber based packaging design and manufacturing

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software

· Advanced knowledge of structural design software: Artios CAD, Auto Cad,

· Exposure to corrugated and/or folding carton design, production and product development

· Strong analysis skills and problem solving skills

· Must have completed some practical course work in manufacturing or CAD

· Good command of verbal and written communication skills in both English and local language

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively across cultural and organizational lines

Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
