Responsibilities:
- Conceptualise and design packaging solutions based upon customer, sales and marketing requests.
- Create original packaging concepts for retail impact and OOBE.
- Conduct prototyping (make samples on cutting table, working with prototyping workshop or by hand) and testing to validate design concept and user experience.
- Collaborate with key manufacturing team members in order to assure concepts meet manufacturing limitations.
- Output samples and spec sheets for customer approval.
- Prepare Bill Of Materials (BOM’s) and manage validation of the design of each component of the BOM.
- Communicate design specifications (3D models, technical drawings, dielines…) to internal partners and vendors.
- Optimise design solutions to meet all criterions associated to the production and distribution supply chains.
- Interact with in-house and outside vendors to verify packaging specifications.
Support reliability testing (ISTA, ASTM) and solve associated design problems.

Knowledge & Experience:
- FMG, consumers’ electronics, components and accessories.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, packaging design, packaging engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar industry
- Design for Sustainability
- Paper and paperboard (folding cartons, gift box, blister cards…)
- Plastics processing (blow molding, vacuum forming, injection molded components, plastic films)
- Surface finishing
- Printing methods
- ArtiosCAD, Solidworks, Adobe CC, Office, Compass
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take on challenges
- Proven ability to execute successful and compelling creative packaging solutions
- Thorough understanding of the PCH Brand
- Independent and self-motivated achiever
- Exceptional creative flair and design. Good at problem solving.
- Strong attention to details and quality
- Excellent time management, organizational skills and follow up skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience working with high profile clients combined with strong knowledge of the packaging industry in South China
