In order to accomplish all tasks, we require the BEX (exterior engineer on site) to have the skills and competences described as below:
1. KNOWLEDGE in AUTOMOBILE COMPOSANT or SYSTEM
- Deep understanding regarding vehicle and component development planning. Eg.: requirement and maturity level for different development stage.
- Familiar with electrical component. Good knowledge on HW SW and mechanical structure.
- Good knowledge on vehicle networking protocol. CAN knowledge is mandatory.
- Familiar with automotive validation standard.
- Basic knowledge on color and texture, gap and tolerance.
- Good supplier management skill, able to ensure supplier deliverables through regular review.
- Electric Architecture knowledge
- Specialist in navigation systems especially for Chinese Market.
- Good knowledge on connectivity and HMI.
- Able to write and ensure the robustness of navigation technical specifications.
2. DESIGN COMPETENCE
- Navigation management and communication skills
- Electronic Architecture knowledge
- Digital mockup skills
- Documentation skills on technical Spec
- Validation knowledge (EMC and Environmental)
3. EXPERIENCE in VEHICLE DEVELOPMENT
- Working experience in OEM, supplier, design service company is preferred.
4. LANGUAGE
- English: fluent (TOIEC level>800)
- Chinese: Good communication skills
- French: would be a plus
5. SOFTWARE SKILLS
- CATIA V5: knowledge
- Microsoft Office tool: Proficient
- HW design tool: Basic knowledge
- CAN simulation monitor tool: Proficient
