Main Responsibilities:
Secure at all time the product quality requirements of Family Dollar products;
Conduct all necessary QA activities prior to and during product selection, product development, production in order to identify quality issues early and 'build in' right quality at the beginning of a products life cycle.
Proactive assurance of all quality processes to include audits, evaluations, selection and improvement; in the production and agreement of specifications; reviewing performance, compliance with Family Dollar.s standards, and testing certification
Solve quality problems with the highest sense of urgency;
Proactively support the technical development of new products, specifications and protocols; manage and maintain quality execution.
Actively contribute to improvements and participate in Projects, including production processes, packaging, and product changes;
Transfer knowledge co-workers and to suppliers on production, material and other related issues;
Review the project updates and reports, and coordinate with the Supplier in verifying and keep track of the lean and quality improvement and cost savings for each project
Collaborate with the merchandising team to understand difficulties and constraints of the projects and provide support for the team to get the solutions
Train and develop suppliers to ensure understanding of regulatory, safety and Family Dollar performance requirements
