Job description
- Understand and translate demand requirements in to production requirements for assigned commodities and/or vendors;
- Assess and manage suppliers’ production capacity and material control;
- Co-ordinate necessary daily interaction with suppliers ensuring all schedules are met and any issues resolved quickly and permanently;
- Proactively identify potential issues in supply and resolve before they become issues;
- Develop and implement standardized work processes, checklists, scorecards or other materials to ensure each vendor meets delivery, service and lead time expectations;
- Manage and monitor the performance of vendors within an established KPIs framework;
- Lead and develop a team of vendor management staff to ensure resources are used effectively and that schedules and targets are met;
- Identify opportunities and lead initiatives to continuously improve processes related to vendor management;
- Participate actively in the new product introduction process to ensure that development schedules do not impact supply commitments.

Position requirements
- University graduate with experience with relevant work experience in vendor management and/or materials management in a Trading / Buying Office or high volume, high product mix type of environment;
- Able to work independently with overseas customers and vendors and handle full-range production planning duties with a strong understanding of capacity planning;
- Demonstrated advanced functional, technical and people skills;
- Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English.
