Job Summary:
The Logistics Specialist will solely responsible for all logistics and inventory management related activities for Direct Supply’s Asia-Pacific operations.
The successful candidate will join a committed and successful Operations team. Together, we will be leaders in the development of the Senior Living industry, creating and delivering innovative products and services that improve the quality of life for seniors in the USA and China.
Reports to:
Business Process Outsourcing Manager, Direct Supply Trading (Shenzhen)
Major Duties & Responsibilities
1. Responsible for all import and export related activities, ensuring Direct Supply is always efficient and in compliance with local laws.
2. Responsible for all domestic and international logistics, transporting goods to and from customers and suppliers.
3. Manage all existing third party relationships with logistics partners like UPS, FedEx, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and storage providers.
4. Find and establish relationships with new logistics partners as required.
5. Able to propose efficient and cost-effective freight solutions for different situations.
6. Act as China and US customs expert for Direct Supply Asia Pacific. Become familiarized with various customs regulations, HS codes, shipping documents, etc.
7. Coordinate with project manager to arrange all products for tradeshows.
8. Keep and file all related shipping documents in a timely and proper manner.
9. Fully responsible for warehouse management including related documents, communication with warehouse staff, receiving and shipping goods, ensuring FDA compliance, and developing and managing warehouse policies and procedures.
10. Organize and perform quarterly physical inventory count.
11. Communicate directly with financial service providers in the USA, China to ensure all records related to inventory, product costs, and logistics are correct.
12. Manage and distribute weekly inventory report.
13. Ensure all three warehouses are well organized and clean.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
1. Bachelor degree with minimum 3 years related experiences, major in Logistics Management or International Trade.
2. Excellent at relationship management, able to interact with individuals of various levels both internally and externally.
3. Solid knowledge of logistics and inventory management workflows and customs clearance, preferably with a Certificate of Customs Declarer.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skill.
5. Good at using Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT etc.
6. Strong customer service attitude, highly organized with great attention to detail.
7. Strong sense of urgency, able to react to situations quickly, developing the best solution.
