Primary Purpose, Scope or Focus of Position:
- Cost engineering.
- Manage the fit approval process from first fit through final fit through TOP, which includes review of quality and construction as well as any revisions.
- Manage central file of all garment fit specifications, approval reports, shipment samples, quality and sizing requirements for customer.
- Responsible to source trims, create initial design and technical sketches, initiate sample request.
- Source all cmaterial, trim and accessories as required.
- Merchandise conference rooms for customer meetings according to season / trend / color palette direction.
- Follow up on all fit, color, publicity, PP and top samples to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure all development samples are requested according to Victoria's Secret standards.
- Provide tracking and sample status updates to customer 8.) Provide Tra.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Fit a garment on a live model as well as a dress form.
- Write a size specification.
- Do an approval report.
- Measure garments according to customer guidelines.
- Revise patterns.
- Recommend appropriate construction methods.
- Initiate fit and construction changes requested by buyer and Design Manager to sample room by completing technical SRS's, detailing corrections that need to be made.
- Submit samples to buyer for fit approval after measurement and evaluation.
- Follow up on fit reports and technical issues with customer technical team.
- Track status of sample approval process to insure samples are corrected by sample room BGZ and approved by customer buyer in a timely manner.
- Issue technical report including component sheets, label placement and assignment of care in conjunction with customer and textile account manager.
- Develop, spec and detail special packaging methods for all costumes.
- Review of "garment test" and recommendations for any failing tests to net approved results.
- Review of costing and markers in regards to minutes, construction recommendations, yy and fabrics as needed to ensure accuracy of information and best efficiency and utilization and lowest cost.
- Input of trim component information and review of bill of material.
- Participate in customer fittings as needed, following up with account team members and customer as needed to ensure information is passed timely.
- Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationship with customer and account team members.
- Tech design liaison between company, factories and customer.
- Request color, PR, marketing samples following request from pre production contacts at VS.
- Track samples and follow up on any missing material and trims to ensure samples will meet due dates.
- Review and send patterns from design studio to sample room for costing and re sampling.
- Note all components and design detail to enable proper materials and construction to be captured in sample request.
- Send trim inquiry forms and pass offs to customer for all new trims and maintain approved trims library.

Other Key Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate, organized records of all styles in production, including initial design SRS's, all subsequent fit sample requests, final specifications, related correspondence.
- Assign sketch, style determine rm's to be used.
- Provide construction details and measurements.
- Create Group sheets.
- Research trends through multiple resources to translate into marketable designs and presentations for customer.

Special Skills Required:
- Pattern making, fitting, sewing, capabilities.
- Ability to effectively illustrate garments both free hand and in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Ability to multitask and problem solve, working in collaboration with other team members.

Educational Background:
- Four year technical degree preferred but not required and related experience.
Travel Required to Perform the Job:
- Travel both domestic and international as required.
Performance Measurement:
- Approve styles in a timely manner.
- Establish good working relationship w/customers.
- Avoid any production delays due to technical issues.
- Display a positive attitude and open to learning new systems.
- Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
Other Factors / Requirements / Considerations:
- Individual must plan, prioritize and organize work on their own, be a team player supporting the needs of the team and customer.
- Female, must experienced in handled "Victoria's Secret" brand.
- Fluency in spoken English.
