Performance Chemicals will be a new, leading industrial chemical company apart from its current parent company, DuPont, effective July, 2015. Performance Chemicals will have global leadership in titanium dioxide, fluorochemicals, fluoropolymers and selected specialty and industrial chemicals. It will be focused on serving customers who rely on these products, along with improved capability to respond to customer needs and market trends with a highly competitive asset base, product line and workforce. Performance Chemicals will have a presence in 36 countries and will serve customers in more than 90 countries around the world. The new company will supply customers from 38 manufacturing locations, which span every region of the world. The result will be a new company with the assets and presence to support the continued global operation of our businesses and to serve customers around the world.


Position : China Tax Manager
Strategic Business Unit : Tax (Finance)
Report To : Regional Tax Manager
Location : China

Job Responsibilities:

? Render tax supports to the China Performance Chemical businesses, formulate strategy and carry out risk management.

? Manage tax aspects of the China businesses so that tax liabilities are legally minimized by rendering effective advice on how to do business in China in order to optimize tax positions; ways to structure new investments, joint venture operations, acquisitions and divestitures in the most tax-efficient manner; ideas and procedures to obtain, maximize and utilize tax incentives; planning of supply chain alternatives to achieve tax savings; and optimizing positions as legislation changes.

? Supervise the preparation and filings of tax returns in China.

? Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise on how they affect the business operations.

? Defend tax audits in China.

? Support US GAAP tax accounting and related analysis for China entities

? Proactively identify international tax issues & coordinate with Tax management on developing proposed solutions to the businesses.

? Provide assistance and recommendation to JV companies and the business units on tax aspects relating to financial and business management objectives.

? Facilitate compliance with global transfer pricing policies. Respond to inquiries from other staff members who will be involved in tax compliance and transfer price setting, and monitor of any country specific issues with respect to transfer price matters.


Job Requirements
Minimum requirements
? University/Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Taxation and/or Law. CPA or Certified Tax Advisor (“CTA”) qualification would be a plus.
? Good Chinese and English language skills, both oral and written.

? At least 7-8 years of relevant experience in China and international corporate taxation;
? Experience with the Big 4 accounting firm(s) a plus
? Experience with MNC in-house tax organization is a plus
? Knowledge of international taxation systems is a plus.

? Strong communication skills to interact with business leaders and senior management on complex and/or confidential tax matters.
? Strong analytical & negotiation skills with government & taxation officials.
? Result oriented and strong ability to prioritize tasks.
? Sound judgment for risk/cost/benefit analysis.
? Ability to communicate on complex technical tax matters with non-tax experts.
? Familiar with use of standard computer programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint), and the ability to use SAP is a plus.
? High personal ethics and team attitude.
? Ability to travel, mostly in China.
