About Research Assistant

PCH is seeking to hire a full-time Research Assistant to help developing biosensor devices. The main responsibilities of the Research Assistant will be to assist Scientists and Engineers in fabricating sensor devices and performing biosensor experiments. S/he will collaborate and communicate within the team, as well as execute experiments, maintain a detailed lab notebook, results, and maintain the biosensor lab and equipment. Drive internal and external communications, including drafting press releases and marketing collateral materials.

Responsibilities

· Assist, design and perform experiments related to biosensor R&D and microfluidic system

· Working closely with scientists/engineers, helping in the design and development of advanced process technology to fabricate and transition new materials for optimal manufacturing, performance and cost.

· Test devices to evaluate the performance and ensure product quality and sustainability

· Maintain biosensor lab and equipment

· Maintain research documentation i.e., lab notebooks, detailed experimental and results

Knowledge & Experience

· The candidate must have a BS / MS (prefer) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering or a related field with 0-2 years of relevant industry experience and/or training.

· Proven ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment

· Knowledge of the following techniques: ELISA

· Ability to work independently, manage timelines and execute projects in an R&D environment.

· Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
