Responsibilities:

-- Establish design parameters based on the functional requirements of application specifications.
-- Specify components and generate bills of material (BOM) and support Engineering change process.
-- Design and build power distribution, control and data acquisition systems for equipment reliability testing and production metrology tools
-- Hands-on construction of equipment, including mounting and wiring of electronic and electrical components
-- Create electrical schematics, enclosure layouts for automation control system and machines
-- Facilitate equipment safety certifications such as UL or CE.
-- Interface with vendors to make components selections.
-- Interact with purchasing to obtain materials, resolve delivery problems and cost issues during prototype design and build.
-- Responsible for manufacturing procedures for electrical assembly.
-- Liaise and support manufacturing issue during product ramp build and test.
-- Create equipment operational and maintenance manual preparation and updating.
-- Attend to site (local & overseas) testing and commissioning upon request.
-- Adhere to design and process systems in accordance with ISO guidelines and to constantly monitor and upgrade our quality standards.

Requirements:

-- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
-- Familiarity with multiple CAD tools for Electrical Engineering, AutoCad a plus
-- Knowledge of stepper motors and controls, PLC’s, microcontrollers and other common electrical and electronic components used in equipment construction
-- Ability to program PLC’s and use common PC applications for configuration and control of components and systems
-- Works well with others and has strong interpersonal skills
-- Works independently on open ended projects with minimal supervision, must be able to quickly understand requirements, then plan and execute work, including design, selecting and ordering materials, construction and test without frequent management intervention
-- Can provide clear technical direction to equipment build technicians and be accountable for results of their work
-- Minimum 5 years’ experience in equipment design roles, including numerous examples of personally conceiving, designing, building and delivering control and power solutions
-- Ability to collect data using various data acquisition methods, analyze and report results in a clear and concise manner
-- Possess good English communication skills both written and verbal.

We are currently operating a 8,000 square meter factory in Shenzhen to that is now commencing volume production of their proprietary components for delivery to installations worldwide. The plant will eventually produce over one million square meters of parabolic collectors every year.
