GENERAL OVERVIEW:
1. Lead engineering preview, supplier capability survey/suggestion for NPD projects.
2. Work with suppliers and outside vendors, Participate in VA/VE, productivity discussion to help the team drive productivity idea
3. Provide technical comment and suggestion while project in execution with a goal to make project move smoothly.
4. Manage suppliers daily performance (lead time, service level, quality, etc)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Technical preview, discussion, survey with potential suppliers for NPD
? VA/VE exercise with suppliers and propose opportunities/ideas
? Monitor the execution of VA/VE and provide support at ad hoc basis
? Survey potential alternative 2nd –tier suppliers or components to find cost down opportunities
? Systematically review product spec for product modification opportunities
? Provide “should cost” from engineering perspective to support major nego
? Develop RFI/RFQ for NPD and benchmarking
? Provide Industry technology update to category leaders to support strategy formation and modification
? Other duties as assigned (if any) - communicate with other dept. in factory

REQUIREMENTS:
? University/college engineering/project management diploma
? Experience in RD for a short time and interested in commercial activities
? High interpersonal skill is required to make effective communication with operation, PE, ME, SQE, Operation in the facility, US team, and the suppliers
