职位描述
As part of a multidisciplinary product development team the Mechanical Designer will collaborate with engineers to create innovative products and solutions. The designer will participate in the development of 3D Solidworks CAD models, 2D design packages and prototypes.
Responsibilities:
? Work as a key part of the product realization team, providing technical approach and mechanical designs that meet or exceed the established product requirements.
? Create 3D models, 2D part drawings, assemblies and BOMs in preparation for prototyping, quotation and manufacturing utilizing Solidworks software.
? Evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical materials, components, assemblies, manufacturing procedures and processes and/or equipment.
? Produce and assemble prototypes for design review, fit-up and design verification testing.
? Participate in prototype and pilot testing to ensure products meet requirements and design intent.
? Familiar with BOM and ECN processes.
? Collaborate with quality, regulatory and manufacturing in the design transfer and pilot production of new product.
Qualifications:
? Associates degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent
? 3+ years related work experience
? 3D modeling skills using Solidworks
? Advanced 2D skills with dimensioning and setting tolerances of complex parts and assemblies
? Hands on, detail orientated prototyping experience with the ability to assemble electro-mechanical prototypes that match production level fit, function and finish
? Strong document management abilities – BOM and ECN processes
? Knowledge of plastics molding, sheet metal fabrication, electronic circuit board, cables, connectors with the ability to evaluate new materials and processes
? Knowledge and experience in tool design and tool making for injection molding and metal fabrication
? Good written and spoken English communication CET6 with experience working in foreign owned enterprise
