Comprehensive Shenzhen Trading (CST) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cheyenne Products (www.cheyenneproducts.com), which is a leading design, product development and supplier of home & commercial furnishings (wood & metal chairs/stools, bath storage, lighting, accent furniture etc.) to large scale US market retailers including Walmart, Target, BBB, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Home Depot etc. Cheyenne also possesses an efficient and extensive supply chain network in Asia and South America, and distribution system in the USA market, which allows it to provide a high level of service to its customers, which allows the company to continue to win new business.

CST is searching for a Senior Product Engineer that is energized, self-motivated, and prepared to work in a fast-paced and growth driven environment.

Key Requirements
－ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or product engineering or industrial engineering or related engineering field
－ 3+ years’ experience in product development and/or product engineering functions for high volume consumer products industry
－ Proficiency using Solidworks, ProEngineer, 3DCAD and CAD. Must have used one or more engineering software apps for 5,000+ hours.
－ Must have ability to work with and draft complex surfaces
　 Design experience in multiple production processes such as plastic injection molding, die-casting, sheet metal, machining and assembly
－ Solid working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GDT) and Bill of Material systems
－ Able to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
－ Detail-oriented, versatile, organized, articulate and professional
－ Able to cope with constant change and competing priorities and ability to juggle several projects simultaneously
－ Fluent in spoken and written English
－ Highly organized with strong task follow-up capabilities
－ Strong inter-personal and communication skills
－ Understands and applies the concept of teamwork
－ Ability to work under pressure with constant deadlines
－ Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize work.

Primary Responsibilities
－ Generate detailed part specifications using CAD
－ Perform product prototyping and testing. Write test requests and obtain quotes from internal and external test lab service providers.
－ Using sound engineering principles, refine product concepts into reliable designs that meet performance, compliance, product integrity and aesthetic requirements.
－ Collaborate with suppliers to define, organize and document raw material product specifications including descriptions, compositions, gross usages, scrap rates, weights, dimensions, densities etc.
－ With the support of supplier CAD teams, manage the creation of customer assembly instruction sheets
－ Ensure the packaging construction and products meet customer requirements & test standards
－ Develop packaging solutions to protect finished painted components or products. The products include, but are not limited to lighting, furniture, bathroom, storage, etc.
－ Improve packaging for existing products. Continuous improvements should be made in protection, cost, amount loaded in/on trucks, etc.
－ Design products for manufacturability for China production environments
－ Communicate product designs to team members and suppliers
