ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead Direct Import team to flawless execution of all direct import programs (worldwide) for all American Greetings business units

· Implementation and execution of the direct import program for Company, handles communication with 25+ Asia factories for year round and seasonal direct import programs

· Interacts daily with Asia vendors, AG Asia DI team, AG logistics provider, and product management to obtain and furnish information

· Interacts with other departments as needed

· Reviewing and understanding the specific account requirements for all aspects of their DI requirements (factory registrations and audits, product testing, carton markings and labeling, documentation requirements, etc.)

· Responsible for working on the direct import shipping documents for the accounts assigned

· Complete other duties as assigned by the company

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor degree in Logistics or Business (or related subjects)

· 5+ years’ experience in importing/ exporting, letter of credit/ payments, shipping and logistics and supply chain management

· Strong team player and self motivated

· Independent, systematic and attentive to details

· Proficient in spoken and written English
