Main Responsibility:

Working closely with the design and sales team for our woven fabric, the incumbent will be responsible for the end-to-end process of materials management including product development, sourcing, costing, delivery and quality.

Tasks:

- Closely work with departments and designers in transforming technical translation of design ideas to bulk production

- Research and develop new fabric according to design ideas

- Evaluate supplier capability and negotiating best prices for the brand

- Identify and tackle potential fabric and materials technical issues before bulk production

- Keep a breast of market information / new technology applying to textile industry to improve supplier performance

- Evaluate and monitor the performance of venders / mills to ensure the fabric quality standard.

- Responsible for fabric technical requirements including lab-testing

Requirements:

- Experience in sourcing, product development or merchandising in woven.

- Strong technical background in garment and woven fabrics.

- Experience in working with leading fabric mills in China and elsewhere in Asia

- Sound negotiation and interpersonal skills

- Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin is essential
