Responsibility:
- Leads a team of Mechanical Engineer in facilitating innovation design and handling mechanical engineering design job from conceptual stage until production start
- Reviews designs and provide guidance on risk design management and cost reduction
- Provides technical leadership to investigate root cause of the engineering issues and provide guidance to the team on problem solving
- Provides detail analysis through engineering study, i.e. hypothesis, using analysis tool (like FEA or mathematic equation) and study through mock up, etc.
- Works with function leads to define issues and trouble shoot
Requirements:
- Min 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering design and troubleshooting
- Track record of leading and coaching mechanical engineering team
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in consumer product (i.e. Laptop, e-book, other LCD display handheld), plastic design and tooling
- Experience in structural beam deflection & stress calculation and analysis
- Knowledge in stress analysis concepts with linear and/or non-linear FEA for plastic
- Ability to handle multiple projects at same time and work with different functions across the organization
- Knowledge in ASTM 963 and EN71
- Comprehensive knowledge in 3D Modeling and FEA software i.e. Pro-E, Pro Mechanica, Ansys and Cosmos
- Good written and spoken English
