Job Description
Position Title: Fabrication Leader
Duration: 3 years project incl. 3 months’ probationary period
Location: Fabrication Yard in Qingdao, China
Project: LNG Module Fabrication
Requirements:
？ Minimum 15 years broad experience in mechanical and fabrication engineering, sound understanding of static and rotating equipment used in oil & gas modular projects, including min 5 years’ working in module yards or with similar environment, ideally in SE Asia.
？ Extensive (10+ years) multidiscipline supervisory experience in fabrication and construction of onshore/offshore projects, including direct exposure to disciplines such as structural, piping, E&I, coating, Insulation, scaffolding, welding, testing etc.
？ Demonstrable Module Construction experience
？ Worldwide experience with Contractors and Vendors in particular those involved in the construction of offshore facilities
？ Team player.
？ Excellent verbal and written communication skills fluent in both written and spoken English.
？ Highly organized, self-motivated results orientated person.
Responsibilities:
？ Provide multi-discipline construction Supervision for the modules from detailed design through construction, pre-commissioning and Commissioning. Provide contractor oversight and ensure project execution to the PROJECT HSSE standards and within quality, schedule and cost objectives
？ To assist in the oversight of the EPC Contractor & Subcontractor during fabrication, assembly, testing and delivery of THE PROJECT Modules at the nominated module yard reporting to the Module Yard Manager.
？ Provide mechanical (static and rotating) expertise and ensure that the LNG projects technical solutions in this discipline have been adequately implemented during design and fabrication works at Yard.
？ Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
？ Provide company construction management and oversight of Fabrication contractor activities to achieve completion of the scope of work and pre-commissioning / commissioning objectives for the Modules at the fabrication yard.
？ Actively participate as a member of the Module delivery team to assist in setting clear direction and communicate delivery expectations to the Company site discipline construction team, Contractor and Sub-Contractor in areas such as HSE, quality, schedule & cost.
？ Ensure that the engineering process delivers sound design and quality deliverables for construction.
？ Ensure that effective Management of Change process is in place by Contractor and Sub-contractor.
？ Ensuring specification and Code compliance and the deliverables schedule is maintained.
？ Identify and highlight any risks opportunities or threats that may impact on module delivery within project cost, quality or schedule objectives.
？ Develop and update weekly/monthly performance management reporting to monitor progress on key performance indicators (KPI’S) & critically analyze data.
？ Promote strong working relationships, within the LNG Plant team to present a cohesive interface with other key aspects of the project.
？ Actively foster a team work approach within the LNG Plant team.
