Major Job Responsibilities

1. Assume overall project and product responsibility for coordination, design and completion of existing or new Fisher Controls product design projects/ programs, engineering documentation creation and maintenance, including bill of material specifications, part number setup information and general specifications.

2. Assume responsibility for conceptual design, prototype development, mathematical calculation, FEA simulation and proof of design testing.

3. Lead technical discussion with Fisher supplier base for die cast, plastic molded, stamped, machined prototyping and similar processes to maintain quality, delivery and optimal design for manufacturing standards.

4. Operate and effectively utilize 2D & 3D CAD and Product Data Management network/systems.

5. Interpret and apply Geo-metric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards in accordance with Fisher Engineering Standards.

6. Collect, develop, maintain and organize project file documentation in proper order and accordance to Fisher Engineering standards and ISO9001:2000.

7. Interact and communicate effectively with global IBU team.

8. Interact and communicate effectively with global Manufacturing facilities as required.

9. Develop solutions to technical problems related to customer application and manufacturing yield. Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities. Demonstrate ability to follow through with implementation of design improvements into production.

10. Provide technical product support and expertise to Sales, Marketing and Customers.

11. Prepare information and documentation to process purchase orders for new product, equipment and prototype design improvements.

12. Maintain and manage Lab equipment calibration status and resources.

13. Assist with other project activities as required.

Major Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Engineering/Master of Science or Engineering degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or related fields.

2. Ability to understand mechanical, pneumatic and electronic systems.

3. Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

4. Possess good oral and written communication skills.

5. Planning and organizing skills.

6. Contributing in a team environment.

7. Preferred product development experience.

8. Experience in using CAD design software.

9. CoCreate’s modeling and drafting package experience is preferred.
