In this Senior Process Engineering job at Gore DDFT, you will:
-Measure, understand and be able to document our products and processes used in Gore's die cut, sealing processes and converting operations
-Be a key team member involved in transferring existing die cutting processes from Gore US.
-Develop an understanding of customer's application and product needs
-Bring current technology into operation, work with equipment and tooling engineers to acquire new equipments and develop in new processes.
-Evaluate the new materials used in processes, introduce & apply the advance materials in process improvements.
-Partner with product design engineer to introduce new products to manufacturing
-More specifically, you will:
-Partner with engineering team members and manufacturing leaders to drive process improvements to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
-Responsible for process capability study and continuous improvements. Discover process improvements and make them happen
-Create, carry out and review experiments using statistical methods. Adopt SPC methodology to evaluate and control process variations.
-Perform gauge studies to learn the effectiveness of measurement techniques
-Design, troubleshoot and refine manufacturing processes.
-Work with manufacturing team, leading the process improvements with good implementation skills.
-Critique process and product improvement proposals by applying regulatory, quality, ergonomic, safety, environmental and cost factors.
-Plan and carry out product, process and equipment, tooling, tester validations.
-Lead and drive engineering activities for operational excellent with six sigma methodology.
-Match fitness-for-use requirements to process measurements and set points
-Draft and define process related documents, procedures. Document your work with reports, technical notebooks, quality system and design file entries.
-Initiate the training and training documents for new processes.

Qualification:
-An engineering education degree, mechanical related is preferred with a minimum of 5 years experience in process or industry engineering.
-Fundamental engineering know-how and proven ability to use it in manufacturing.
-Previous experience with ultrasonic welding and die cutting is preferred.
-Good knowledge with statistical analysis tool, SPC, DOE, etc.
-Experience with hands-on process, quality or reliability engineering project participation.
-Demonstrated ability to prioritize, kick off and carry projects to completion.
-Strong communication skill and coordination ability.
-Skillful with engineering drawing software: Auto-cad or Solidwork, etc.
-Excellent written and communication skills in English
-Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse skills, education and backgrounds
-Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% domestically & internationally.
