Job Summary

The QC Engineer will assist technical team daily work to ensure the quality standard of the company and support to do factory assessment, coach and develop suppliers to ensure all the suppliers adhere to our quality standard. Assist in Monitoring production flow, maintains a close relationship with sourcing team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Check out Inspection file and Verify the Content
Get received the inspection file.
Check the inspection content.

2. Quantity check, draw sample and handling the samples
Ask supplier to submit the packing list (if available)
Check whether the quantity of goods completed, report to the Shenzhen and Dubai team if any discrepancy noted
Identify the sample as per the needs (e.g. sub-samples of a sample)
Handle the inspection samples with care whenever they are under our responsibility

3. Product verification
Verify the function and calibration status of product
Record the testing equipment used in the inspection with all those function and calibration status

4. Inspection process
Conduct inspection regarding the work instructions, reference sample, client specification/manual. Generally the check points are:
Quantity available
Production description, style & colour
Workmanship
Data measurement / check
Form of packaging
Shipping marks


5. Defect verification
Explain to the contact person or the designated supplier representative about all findings, which are generally categorized into the following items unless specified by Applicant.
Critical nonconformity (defect)
Major nonconformity (defect)
Minor nonconformity (defect)
Special attention
Note

6. Complete the provision inspection report
Make the overall inspection results or conclusion for the inspection
Inform the contact person or supplier representative to wait for applicant’s disposition of the shipment, if necessary

7. Posterior works
If necessary, draw production sample or item (including defect sample or testing sample) and prepare the draw sample record
Pack and preserve the samples to avoid damage during transportation
Send back the Provisional Inspection Report and related information by e-mail to the head office.

8. Follow up
Inspector should try their best to follow emails and telephone calls to coordinator to make sure that the sent copy of preliminary result report is received clearly and completely
Make necessary correction to the preliminary result report if requested by the Senior QA Engineer or above
Explain those adjustment to the contact person or supplier representative

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 3-5 years' working experience in handling QC inspection, product testing, development and reports
2. Solid QC knowledge in TV/AC/WM/REF/ and home appliances
3. Working in MNC or foreign based company is preferred
4. Good command of both spoken and written English
5. Able to work independently and self-motivated
6. Travel is required
