Responsibilities:

1. Make decisions that support delivery on time to our customers in alignment with business priorities. Provide flexible solutions if customers have changes.
2. Good understand and create or manipulate raw materials, bills of material, routes, and other manufacturing data (such as safety stocks and re-order quantities).
3. Understand the Material Resource Planning (MRP) process and utilize computer based MRP/ERP systems.

4. Have the experience of capacity planning, work order management and production scheduling. Good at working with X-functional teams to drive the actions to solve the capacity constraints.

5. Review and confirm new sales orders in ERP system with promise dates that manufacturing can meet, and interface with all local/remote associates in cross-function that impact DOT.
6. Warehouse Coordination & Management, and Inventory System Training to Associates
7. Drive continuous improvement in the Buyer and Planner roles and ensure data integrity in the ERP system
8. Suggest, implement, and maintain improvements to the existing planning / inventory infrastructure.
9. Understand the basic manufacturing process for all products - to the extent that it improves the competency to plan product.
10. Global Travel & Development of Network with Planners.
11. Work with vendors for raw DOT and L/T improvement

Qualifications:

1. University graduate Degree in Manufacturing, Operations or Logistics
2. 5 years + work experience in production, capacity & material planning ,and vendors management in a senior capacity in big multinational manufacturing companies is preferred. Having the experience in leading the team is preferred.
3. Good understanding of MRP/ERP system(such as JDE is preferred.)
4. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level.
5. Strong ability to drive implementation plans and schedules.
6. Experience in overseas purchasing will be an advantage.
7. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
8. Good written and spoken English.

Job Descriptions:
As the global link between factories, 3rd party Quality inspection and Demand planning, Garment Development and Quality Management, you are responsible for the accurate delivery of our Garments, starting from order placement till receiving. As a member of the global strategic sourcing team, you are also responsible for planning and negotiating capacities at our factories in Asia-Pacific whilst ensuring their alignment with the business demands.


You are responsible for capacity planning, order placement, order and vendor management throughout the order and manufacturing process of Gore`s ready-made-garments. You work closely together with the factories to enhance existing relationships. You will negotiate the FOB-prices for all carry-over styles as well as maintain purchase conditions and perform supplier audits. As a proven problem-solver with a very good understanding of both Asian and Western culture and mentality, you are capable to solve complex issues within the manufacturing and order process proactively. You speak fluent Mandarin or Cantonese as well as English, any other Asian language is an asset. This role includes travel within the Asia-Pacific Region.


Required Experience/Skills:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or planning department in Asia
A background in Apparel manufacturing is preferred
Very good understanding of both Western and Asian culture and mentality
