s a member of the Ruckus Wireless engineering team, you will be responsible of hardware testing with other engineers in the Design Verification Testing (DVT) team in the Ruckus Wireless Shenzhen office. You will verify design robustness and document testing for existing and new hardware. Products include indoor and outdoor 802.11 Access Points, Controllers and SmartCell Gateways. This position will report to the Sunnyvale, California headquarters so business will be conducted in English.
Responsibilities

1.Conduct electrical signal integrity, power integrity test on the board level and functional test on the system level to verify design margin and robustness
2.Develop test plans, test reports and justify test result according to system functional specification
3. Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and Post Production Sampling Test (PPST)
4.Troubleshoot and root cause analysis, escalate any failure to Hardware Engineering
5.Deal with local suppliers or test equipment vendors for technical support
6. Contribute to project completeness and strive to meet target schedules
7.Position reports to Hardware DVT Manager based in Sunnyvale, California.

Qualifications

1. B.S. or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering
2. 5+ years as an Electrical Design Engineer or Test Engineer
3. Hands-on experiences with signal integrity and power circuit verification
4. Hands-on experiences with AC/DC power supply, oscilloscope, DC load… various lab equipment and telecom test jigs
5. Experiences with writing product test plans and reports
6. Demonstrated successful troubleshooting cases on the system or board level
7. Ability to manage multiple activities with constant changes
8. Experiences with dealing with local supplier or test equipment vendors
9. Basic through-hole, SMT soldering and assembly skills is required
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
11. Good verbal and written communication skills - both Mandarin and English
12. Ability to travel freely to US and Taiwan
13. Experience with WiFi products is desirable
14. Start-up attitude is essential
