职位描述
Responsibilities:
? The post is responsible for the technical management and support of engineering (new and existing) projects pre/post product introduction.
? This person will interface with cross-functional development teams including skilled EE, ME engineers in Asia (mostly in China).
? The successful candidate will be driving day to day activities while supporting the extended engineering and operations priorities in OEM partners.
? The role is highly technical, and requires a solid Mechanical Engineering background to understand technical details of cross-functional issues and risks.
? Ensure OEM partner processes meets acceptable levels of process capability from pilot to mass production
? Reviews Process Change Requests at OEM and escalates as required
? Maximizes product quality and minimizes product liability exposure by utilization of manufacturing technology, process improvement and minimize maintenance cost.
? Lead and execute projects to eliminate warranty costs and improve product reliability affected by manufacturing and supply chain at OEM Partner's facilities.
Skills and Experience requirements
? Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering required, MS desired.
? 5-8 years of industry experience. Ability to commute to contract manufacturing sites in China.
? Excellent communication skills verbally and written in Mandarin and English.
? Experience with electro-mechanical products, preferably with refrigeration equipment.
? Strong, proven technical background.
? Ability to work with design teams from US and UK.
? Knowledge of Certifications (UL/ETL) and its processes;
? Knowledge of DFM/DFT;
? Ability to communicate with cross departments and supply chain in a multi-national business.
? Familiar with the Quality Control tools, such as lean manufacturing, 6 Sigma, etc.
? Proficiency in ProE or other 3-D modeling software. Good PC skills, email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
? Process improvement project management skills with proven, timely execution.
? Hands-on working attitude.
? Willing to travel in and out of China.
