Job Duties:
? Take ownership through the software development lifecycle for developing and implementing IT solutions to meet business users’ requirements, for small to medium sized projects
? Help to define and follow development standards and guidelines to ensure good quality of delivery
? Work together with the development team in Hong Kong closely on joint development and maintenance projects.
? Coordination of development activity into projects.
? Help understand and drive applications/development according to Finance IT architecture.
? Maintain application build scripts and database environments (Note this is not a production or typical DBA role).
? Mentor team members whose primary skill set is Sybase in Oracle techniques.

Candidate Specifications:
? Strong understanding of relational database concepts.
? Strong logical and physical data modeling and design.
? Must be a Oracle Certified Master (OCM) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
? 2+ years of strong experience with Oracle database and Oracle Database Administration, including RAC.
? Strong experience with stored procedures, triggers and database packages, optimization, database tuning.
? Strong experience with Oracle Replication (Materialized views), External Tables and index/table partition, Datapump/conventional export/import.
? Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
? Development experience in Oracle 10g/11g environment on UNIX/ Linux (including shell scripting).
? Able to maintain and implement corporate IT database standards.
? Develop, document and maintain standards, procedures and processes.
? Exposure to Sybase and SQL server.
? Strong problem solving skills.
? Strong English communication skills (both oral and written).
? Ability to collaborate with individuals from all levels within the IT community.
? Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven fast learner.
? Strong team player, but also takes ownership of tasks assigned to ultimate resolution.
Preferred Additional Skills:
? Java programming experience.
? Business Intelligence and/or OLAP experience.
? Product Control or Finance IT experience is a distinctive advantage.
? Asset class knowledge (Equity Derivatives, Vanilla & Structured Rates, and FX products).
? Previous experience in Investment Banking is a definite plus.
