Summary:
The primary duties of this position are to manage outsourcing supplier's quality aspect and ensure getting quality products from suppliers to enhance company's image in terms of quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1 Establish supplier assessment criteria in terms of quality system management and involve into supplier selection and qualification process to make sure GPO supplier having appropriate quality management system.
2 Conduct initial supplier audit and annual audit and summarize audit report to management.
3 Prepare incoming inspection instruction of outsourcing parts/products and train inspector to do the inspection.
4 Communicate with suppliers on new outsourcing parts/products quality standard and requirements and train supplier to understand all the requirements.
5 Personally inspect prototype and FA samples of new project to ensure samples to be delivered to customer completely comply with customer requirements.
6 Work with suppliers to get appropriate quality documents for new parts/products, such as PPAP, APQP, FAI etc.
7 Measure supplier quality performance monthly and work out improvement plan for top worse suppliers.
8 Get involve into 8D process for each SNCR/INR to suppliers when quality issue happen and follow up suppliers’ corrective actions.
9 Work with sourcing specialist to interpret customer drawing on quality aspect and make sure supplier understand all the requirements when they quote.
10 Initiate and handle supplier quality continual improvement activity.
11 Provide training to suppliers on BOYD quality requirements and AIAG quality tools.

Position Title: GPO Supplier Quality Engineer

Specific Experience Required:
1 Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in supplier quality management.
2 Experience and knowledge in rubber/plastic molding, metal stamping and machining and other manufacturing area.
3 Experience in automotive parts/components manufacturing is preferred.
4 Practical experience on supplier audit and evaluation and documented evidence of ISO 9001 and TS 16949 training.
5 Must have working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO/TS16949 and ISO 14001 practices and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
Required Competencies and Characteristics:
1 Ability to use all Microsoft PC software applications such as Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.
2 English and Mandarin Chinese language skills a must, along with excellent communications skills both verbally and written.
3 College or University degree in engineering.
4 Must be continuous improvement oriented and have good self principle. Can work well independently.
5 Must be willing and able to travel throughout Asia and at a minimum throughout China frequently (about 30%~40%)

1 Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws.
2 Strong ability to lead supplier in new program development, and in addressing complaints and resolving problems.
3 Good team playing , always customer oriented.
4 Quick response to any voice from customer/supplier /work peers.
