Responsibilities:

1. Guarantee the service level of the product (quality, costs, availability) and continuous identify improvement opportunities to increase the product performance.

2. Execute the delegated responsibilities assigned by the SPD lead engineer.

3. Technical responsible for the project output of the structural engineering team in Xiamen.

4. Make /coordinate technical decisions as agreed with the lead engineer and feedback to the NL team.

5. Make sure the product data (drawings/moulds) is up to date and up to standard and according to the needs of Quality, Sourcing and Production.

6. Lead the engineering project team in Xiamen by delegating tasks to the team, coach and support the team to assure teamwork and the best possible output Work with the Product Core team and Project Management to make and execute detail engineering activity plan for SPD project.

7. Closely collaborate with PM, suppliers, sourcing and QE to assure engineering quality within defined targets.

8. Ensure good communication and aligned teamwork for the XM team with the HQ team

9. Member of the CCB- Change Control Board and chairs the sustaining team for his product.

10. Create ECR’s if needed for product performance or baseline maintenance.

11. Release engineering changes orders for execution and engineering change for production

12. Monitor engineer work progress.

13. Support, check and coach the engineers to find root causes, solutions and how to validate the solution.

14. Request and assure project resources to build the project team that can satisfy the project requirement (capability and ability),

15. Guide engineer in using bugaboo’s processes and procedures.

16. Apply people performance reviews and give appraisal input.

17. Report on progress, risks and status of engineering activities and escalate issues when necessary.

Qualification:

1. University degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or automotive engineering

2. At least 8 years engineer working experience and 2 years engineer team leader.

3. Comprehensive understanding of injection mold(ing), structure design, extrusion, assembly process, metal manufacture process.

4. Good skills in solid work 2D, 3D, PDM

5. Experience with and understanding of tools like FMEA, CTQ, PPAP, 8D and statistical analysis tools.

6. Good understanding and practice of project management skills/tools and team leadership.

7. Good understanding of new product development processes and the specific function of design, compliance, quality, sourcing, suppliers and production in these processes.

8. Good communication in English and Mandarin.
